In checking the website, I see some people have had difficulty logging on the website. Sometimes, of course, this is just a mistake on the password or user-name, but some look like you can’t get on.

However, this may be a good time to note that there has always (for me) been an issue with how login is handled (here and on the TAR site). Specifically, if I click a link while not logged in (which is most of the time, since logins time out), then the browser enters a redirect loop and eventually gives me an error. I have to navigate to the main page and log in. Then links work.

However, I experience the same issue described by CK.
Chhi’med’s, Michael’s and other’s experience is to be expected because of the general security measures put in place combined with the user access control for the members area. When you get a new post notification, don’t try to log in with the link from the email. It should really just be a cue to directly go to the site, log in and check the blog, rather than trying to do so from the notification link. I know this is an extra step or two, but the particular log-in method was set up after a kid in Madagascar took over the entire site and replaced it with a cartoon image some years ago, and we had to restore the entire site from back-up files.
ALSO, you may notice that sometimes when you are writing a reply, you get a notice: “The reCAPTCHA verification period has expired. Please reload the page.” If you just reload, you may lose what you’ve been writing. What you should do is copy all the text you’ve written, click post comment, and if it doesn’t go through and your text is erased, PASTE it back it, click post comment again and it will go through. (I’m doing this right now as I finish this reply.
I had issues logging in shortly before New Year’s Eve, but can get in now. I’ve noticed this issue pops up occasionally and usually resolves itself within a few days.
